Department

  • Neurosurgery

    Neurosurgery

The Neurosurgery Department treats diseases of the brain and spinal cord through surgery. Our team of experienced specialists are dedicated to the surgical treatment of brain and spinal cord tumors (brain, spinal cord, rare infraorbital tumors, etc.), trigeminal neuralgia and facial spasms caused by blood vessel compression of nerves.
We have state-of-the-art devices such as neuro-endoscopes, navigation systems, and various types of monitouring systems and are also engaged in minimally invasive surgery (e.g., keyhole surgery using neuro-endoscopes). With our experience and technology, we can safely address lesions in challeging areas like the skull base.
We aim to achieve optimal results by combining the most appropriate treatment for each patient with the latest intracerebral vascular therapy for vascular diseases such as cerebral aneurysms.

  • Cardiology

    Cardiology

The Cardiology Department is in charge of identifying and treating a range of diseases, including coronary artery disease such as angina and myocardial infarction, as well as arrhythmia, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, hypertension, aortic disease, and peripheral artery disease.
We make speedy and precise diagnoses and provide medication-based therapy and minimally invasive treatments using catheters such as stenting and ablation for arrhythmia, as necessary.
Cardiovascular diseases often require urgent treatment. If you experience any discomfort, please do not hesitate to consult with us. Our “Heart Team,” in collaboration with the Cardiovascular Surgery Department can offer optimal treatments even for the most complex cases that may have been difficult to treat elsewhere. Our goal is to provide the utmost satisfaction to every patient.

  • Cardiovascular Surgery

    Cardiovascular Surgery

The Cardiovascular Surgery Department is commited to providing surgical treatment for heart and vascular diseases including angina pectoris, valvular disease, aortic aneurysm, and aortic dissection.
Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS) is performed to reduce the burden on the patients after carefully examining the indications for cardiovascular diseases. Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery is also performed as needed.
As a part of the "Heart Team," along with cardiologists and anesthesiologists, we will do our best to provide optimal treatment for each patient and ensure satisfactory outcomes.

Specialized Checkups & Option

ADRCs
ADRCs

Cardiovascular Checkup

Cardiovascular MRI/Coronary MRA /Echocardiography / Carotid duplex / NT-ProBNP, Thoracic and abdominal CT / ECG / ABI / Calcium score / Lox-Index /Blood test, etc.
*Optionally, a coronary CT is performed when cardiac MRI is not available due to implanted devices or other reasons.

Heart disease is the second leading cause of death in Japan, surpassed only by malignant tumors. However, early detection can lead to improved outcomes through dietary changes, exercise habits, and appropriate medication. In our heart checkup, we aim to detect diseases that progress without symptoms in the early stages, such as angina pectoris, valvular disease, and aortic disease, through an arteriosclerosis-focused course.

Brain Checkup

Brain MRI / Brain MRA / Carotid duplex / Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) / Blood Test etc.

Brain disease is a sudden threat to healthy life expectancy. Brain tumors, strokes (cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral embolism, subarachnoid hemorrhage), and more recently, dementia are on the rise. All these diseases place a burden on the family. We offer a brain checkup that aims to identify and prevent brain diseases before symptoms appear. Our non-invasive methods include MRI and MRA imaging to detect brain and blood vessel abnormalities, and ultrasound equipment to detect arteriosclerosis. We also use MRI imaging to determine brain atrophy and conduct face-to-face dementia testing using the MMSE. Our team of radiologists and neurosurgeons double-checks all image diagnoses and offers opportunities for further explanation by neurosurgeons if necessary. Our goal is to provide early detection and prevention of brain diseases.

Bone and Joint checkups are crucial for maintaining mobility and independence. Maintaining strong bones, and muscles, and protecting joints is essential for people who aim to remain self-sufficient and live well beyond the age of 100. These conditions are vital to leading a healthy and fulfilling life. The best way to prevent osteoporosis before a fracture occurs is through medical checkups. At our hospital, we assess bone density and bone metabolism markers, evaluate your bone condition, and suggest suitable treatments. Our joint health checkups aim to identify early signs of osteoarthritis and provide exercise guidance to prevent it from worsening. With our help, you can prepare yourself to enjoy a healthy life well into your 90s.

ADRCs

Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy
Upper (esophageal, stomach, duodenum) Endoscopy

Colorectal cancer is becoming a significant health concern in Japan which is now the leading cause of death due to cancer. It has overtaken lung cancer among women and is ranked second after lung cancer among men. It is a common disease, with a lifetime risk of 10.3% for men (1 in 10) and 8.1% for women (1 in 12). Although the number of cases of stomach cancer is decreasing, it remains the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths for both men and women, after colorectal cancer. However, if detected and treated early, both types of cancer have a good prognosis. Endoscopy is the most effective method of detection, and our hospital uses intravenous anesthesia with monitoring to minimize discomfort for patients who find endoscopy unpleasant.
